The United States Space Force (USSF) Combat Forces Command (CFC) Space Acquisition Integration Office (SAIO) at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado is searching for an Acquisition Program Manager - SAP (NH-1101-03, GS 12/13 equivalent).

An ideal candidate for this role is a highly skilled and cleared Program Manager who thrives in secure, high-stakes environments, bringing a proven track record of managing complex portfolios at the Classified and Special Access Program (SAP) levels. You possess deep expertise in executing DoW services acquisitions and lifecycle management, combined with a strong capability to oversee classified funding, secure data systems, and strict security protocol compliance. An exceptional communicator and relationship builder, you leverage Project Management Institute principles and analytical problem-solving to deliver continuous process improvements and actionable recommendations to senior leaders. Ultimately, your proactive leadership, tactful diplomacy as an organizational liaison, and unwavering commitment to mission success will ensure SAIO delivers the precise, responsive acquisition solutions needed to optimize critical warfighter operations.

Key Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of DoW acquisition, life cycle management, risk management, quality assurance control, and cost/price analysis policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Knowledge of the missions, products, services, needs, and goals of the program(s) and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the acquisition process.
  • Ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations, and procedures, summarize results, make appropriate recommendations, and implement innovative detailed strategies to resolve issues.
  • Ability to plan and execute complex, multi-faceted portfolios and/or projects by stratifying resources and executing within established cost and schedule constraints.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain good internal and external working relations, to use a high degree of tact and diplomacy with key individuals/groups, and to support/interact/advise mid and senior level leaders.

    • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI access.
    • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
    • Required to sign a non-disclosure statement.
    • This position is designated for drug testing. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing as a condition of employment.
    • Required to be in office to access classified information IAW the portfolio assigned.
    • May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
    • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
    • May be required to be part of a source selection team.
    • This position is part of the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).
    • Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
    • Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
    • Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, "Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
    • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 30 days a year.
    • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework".
    • Position will close in 5 business days or 75 applications (whichever comes first).
    • PCS is not authorized.
    • Incentive is authorized.
