Job Description

Duties

  • You will conduct procurement research, processing, receiving, tracking, distribution of goods, and payment processing.
  • You will ensure all mandatory sources of supply are checked and utilized as a first choice; Federal Supply Coding is correct; and that appropriate quotes for services are received prior to procurement.
  • You will assist customers with obtaining funding requirements through the Comptroller Office to ensure correct funding and workflow assigned to the project and task numbers applied to requisitions.
  • You will prepare and review documents to acquire products and track expenditures to ensure funds are expended in accordance with the parameters established by the funding authority and funds assigned.
  • You will assist Department Head with planning and developing a comprehensive purchasing plan for administering of funds to procure a variety of required expendable and nonexpendable items.
  • You will assist with the receipt and acceptance process of procurement; ensure purchases are processed for acceptance as garrison property accountability, warehoused and issued in accordance with policy.

  • You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver's license and maintain base driving privileges.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You may be required to work overtime.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management.
Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying inventory procurement and purchasing management principles in the purchasing, receiving, storing, and distribution of acquired goods and services AND making recommendations to management on workflow processes and budgetary execution.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
  • I have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR
  • I have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree OR
  • I have successfully completed an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position OR
  • I have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent
