Associate Satellite Ground Systems Software Engineer

Job Description

This position requires onsite work at Aurora, CO and an active TS/SCI security Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.

Solidus is seeking a mission-driven Software Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to join our Agile team in designing, developing, and maintaining critical software for next-generation satellite ground systems. In this role, you will build and scale high-reliability systems using Java and C++ across Red Hat Linux and Windows environments, while rapidly expanding your expertise in AWS web services, microservices architecture, and modern DevSecOps pipelines. Day in the Life:

• Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for satellite ground systems
• Work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment
• Learn a breadth of advanced software technologies and techniques including multi tiered architectures, AWS web services, and microservice software design Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques Satellite ground system technologies including command and telemetry, flight dynamics, planning and scheduling, and spacecraft operations
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• Active and Current TS/SCI Clearance
• Cultural fit amongst a collaborative team environment
• 2+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Experience developing software using Java and C++ Red Hat 8 Linux OS and Windows 2019 OS experience or similar experience
• Competency with Windows Server 2019 or equivalent operating systems
• Experience executing development tasks within an Agile sprint structure
• Basic comprehension of ground system components, command tracking, or telemetry architectures
• Exposure to automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery pipelines

Benefit selection, customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies, certifications, and clearance status will influence the final salary.

Full benefits: $125,500 to $157,000 annually

Reduced benefits (no medical, dental, vision): Up to $170,000 annually
