Austere Conditions - Poland
This position is located on an austere U.S. military base in Redzikowo, Poland with limited amenities normally provided on a larger base. Applicants must understand they will not live on base or have access to government lodging facilities. They are required to obtain living quarters on the local economy and ensure they have their own method of transportation to the installation. Slupsk, Poland, the closest town to the base, is approximately 3 miles from the base.
1. This is a 12-month unaccompanied tour.
2. Medical care is not available on base except emergency care to prevent loss of life, limb, or eyesight. Candidates with chronic medical conditions or those who require regular specialist medical care may not find suitable treatment locally. Candidates must understand they need medical insurance or to be able to pay for their medical expenses out of pocket on the economy. There is a limited or no access to non-emergency medical/dental care in local area hospitals. This includes dental, optometry, and pharmacy needs."
3. Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) is provided to eligible civilian employees.
4. Shipment of Privately Owned Vehicles is authorized. Shipment of mopeds is not authorized.
5. Meals are available for purchase from the installation at the DOD meal rate.
6. NSF Redzikowo is a non-cash base and only credit/debit cards are used for purchases.
7. Involuntary Separate Maintenance Allowance (ISMA) may be authorized IAW DSSR 260 to assist an employee to meet the additional expenses of maintaining members of family elsewhere than at the employee's foreign post of assignment because of dangerous, notably unhealthful, or excessively adverse living conditions at the employee's post of assignment in a foreign area, or for the convenience of the Government.

- You will serve as the principal Emergency Management (EM) advisor to the installation Commanding Officer.
- You will serve as the installation Emergency Management Officer (EMO), the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) manager, and the installation dispatch manager.
- You will develop, coordinate, and maintain plans for installation dispatch.
- You will ensure contractual execution of the Base Operating Services (BOS) contract Emergency Dispatch staff.
- You will prepare for and carry and coordinate emergency functions to prevent, protect from, mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters.
- You will assess the impact of new regulations and policies affecting dispatching.
- You will develop, coordinate, and maintain the installation Emergency Management (EM) Plan through a continuous, biennial cycle of planning, training, testing, and revising EM procedures.
- You will facilitate the development of supporting annexes and appendices through all installation functional areas; and promote mutual integration of supporting plans both within the installation and the local community.
- You will maintain detailed technical knowledge on the planning and response concepts for personnel protection strategies against a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and High-Yield Explosive hazard.
- You will identify hazards and determine their relative probability of occurrence and associated consequence factors and perform a capability assessment and determine associated needs from capability shortfalls.
- You will consolidate the complete inventory and maintain procedures to request and deploy resources in support of response and recovery operations.
- You will administer the operation of activation for emergency events, orchestrating and coordinating staff efforts, developing a common operating picture, ensuring an effective communications capability and reporting to the Commanding Officer.
- You will monitor and track completion of Emergency Management related training by all designated members.
