Job Description
COLSA is seeking a ColdFusion Developer to support applications in support of NASA's Glenn Research Center (GRC) under the NASA Consolidated Applications and Platform Services (NCAPS) contract. The selected candidate will support the development, enhancement, maintenance, and modernization of business and mission applications while working as part of a collaborative team. Strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills are critical to success in this role.
Note: This position is approved for remote work and open to applicants residing in the following states: AL, CA, CO, FL, GA, IN, LA, MA, MD, MO, MS, NC, OH, OK, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA.

- Design and develop software utilizing ColdFusion, JavaScript, and Python frameworks
- Design and develop software utilizing SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL
- Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team environment, participating in sprint planning, daily standups, and iterative delivery
- Partner with NASA Product Owners to gather and understand customer requirements, ensuring solutions align with mission needs and stakeholder expectations
- Implement user interface enhancements using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries
- Perform code refactoring and modernization of legacy ColdFusion applications

Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Two to five years software development experience.
- Must be willing to undergo a NASA Public Trust background investigation; US Citizenship required.
- Must have an understanding of Section 508 accessibility requirements and considerations for web application development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing development support on legacy applications, specifically ColdFusion
- Experience developing with modern Node.js, React, Python, JavaScript and .NET
- Experience migrating legacy applications to Microsoft Power Apps, including data modeling, canvas or model-driven app design, and Power Automate workflow integration
- Prior experience working within the NASA environment or similar government organizations
