About the Role:
Aquila Technology is seeking a Security Analyst to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. The Security Analyst will work with a team who’s overall mission is to identify and counter security threats to the organizations mission of development of game-changing technology in support of national security, including guarding against compromise by foreign intelligence agencies and insider threats. The Special Security Representative will be responsible for ensuring compliance with government security requirements and provide continuous security support to mission-critical program operations. This position is critical to protecting classified information and program assets, maintaining regulatory compliance, mitigating security risks, and enabling successful mission execution.

Aquila Technology will reimburse team members who work from home ONLY for cell phone/mobile device fees for work-related communications and/or operations each month. Employees eligible for this benefit must work remote 2 days a week or more to qualify.
Buy Your Own Device (BYOD) – Team members are eligible for reimbursement of up to $1,500 every three (3) years for the purchase of electronic equipment used to access corporate services. To qualify for this benefit, employees must have completed a minimum of six (6) months of employment and must agree to and sign the Device Minimum Configuration Form prior to reimbursement. Electronic devices eligible under the Buy Your Own Device (BYOD) program are limited to cell phones, laptops, and tablets.
Clearance Level: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility. Willingness to undergo and successfully complete a government-administered polygraph examination, as required.
Work Location:Onsite 100%, 5 days/wk; position hours 9am-5pm.; Availability to respond to off-hours security incidents and emergencies as required. Ability to support occasional local and overnight travel as needed.Must be comfortable with the timing of this shift.
Interview Process: Initial phone/zoom screening, and then a second round virtual panel interview with hiring team.

- Clearance Level: Currently holds a Top Secret/SCI clearance
- 3 years ensures compliance with operational security and emergency action plans.
- 3 years of experience as a Security Officer or Control Officer
- 3 years facilitates indoctrinations and debriefings, and personnel file maintenance
- 3 years of familiarity with security management software, such as SIMS and government databases such as DISS
- 3 years investigates and documents security incidents, develops and manages corrective actions.
- 3 years NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117 experience
- 3 years oversee facility access control and assist with drafting construction security plans

Responsibilities:
- Administering facility access control and physical security measures.
- Developing and implementing Construction Security Plans (CSPs) for construction and renovation activities.
- Managing the creation, transfer, accountability, and destruction of classified materials and digital media.
- Conducting personnel security activities, including indoctrinations, debriefings, security file maintenance, reporting requirements, and visit coordination.
- Delivering security education, annual training, access briefings, and Operations Security (OPSEC) awareness programs.
- Investigating security incidents, documenting findings, and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintaining compliance with operational security requirements and emergency action plans.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing operational and mission requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years as a CPSO, CSSO, TSCO, or PSO or in a comparable security role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of DoD SAP and SCI security requirements, Intelligence Community directives, NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), applicable ICDs, and related government security policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience (minimum 3 years).
- Experience with security management systems and government databases, including SIMS and DISS.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
