Overview
LOGISTICIAN (BIPS)
Bowhead is seeking an Logistician to support our Navy program IPS in Charleston, SC. The selected candidate will plan and execute life cycle logistics strategies to ensure systems are operationally available, supportable and sustainable with Navy logistics requirements. This position is critical to the long term sustainment Naval activities across the program lifecycle.

LOGISTICIAN (BIPS)
Bowhead is seeking an Logistician to support our Navy program IPS in Charleston, SC. The selected candidate will plan and execute life cycle logistics strategies to ensure systems are operationally available, supportable and sustainable with Navy logistics requirements. This position is critical to the long term sustainment Naval activities across the program lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Essential functions will include:
- Develop and maintain Integrated Logistics Support plans (ILSP) aligned with Navy acquisition and sustainment strategies
- Provide logistics support across all phases of the system life cycle (design, development, production, deployment, operations, and disposal)
- Support reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) objectives
- Ensure compliance with DoD 5000 series, MIL-STD, NAVSEA/NAVAIR logistics policy, and contract requirements
- Support provisioning, spares determination, inventory planning, and cataloging
- Coordinate with configuration management teams to ensure logistics alignment with baseline changes
- Serve as an ILS subject-matter expert supporting government customers, OEMs, and internal engineering teams
- Interface with fleet stakeholders to support operational needs and feedback
- Perform logistics analyses to support cost, readiness, and sustainment decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Knowledge of the ILS Certification process in Navy Data Environment (NDE)
- Hardware provisioning and supply support experience (Spares, DMSMS, etc.)
- Strong understanding of Navy logistics elements (ILS/IPS elements)
- Five or more (5+) years of experience in Integrated Logistics Support or Life Cycle Logistics within DoD or Navy programs
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, matrixed environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Model Based Product Support (MBPS) CTDM persona, experience managing fielded installations in MBPS
- DoD Configuration Management (CM) experience
- Working with Multi data link system to PMW150
- Familiarity with DoD logistics systems and tools
- DAU Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) certification or equivalent
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 or more pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
