Job Description

TIAG is now hiring a Junior .NET Developer to support the Office of Naval Research (ONR) enterprise environment in Arlington, Virginia. The selected candidate will support the development, enhancement, testing, deployment, and maintenance of mission-critical business applications that support ONR's research, financial management, business operations, and enterprise modernization initiatives.

The Junior .NET Developer will work as part of an Agile development team, collaborating with software developers, business analysts, database administrators, systems engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and government stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and user-focused solutions.

This position reports onsite 5 days per week in Arlington, VA. The position requires an active Secret clearance in order to start work, so US or Naturalized Citizenship is a requirement for consideration.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, maintain, and enhance applications utilizing Microsoft .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core.
  • Support software development lifecycle activities including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
  • Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and sprint reviews.
  • Develop and maintain database queries, stored procedures, and integrations supporting enterprise applications.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement application enhancements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, release documentation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support application security, compliance, and cybersecurity requirements in accordance with Department of Defense policies.
  • Participate in code reviews and adhere to secure coding and software quality best practices.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience developing applications utilizing Microsoft .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, or .NET Core.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relational database concepts.
  • Experience working in a team-based software development environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification meeting DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II requirements.
  • Current Computing Environment (CE) certification meeting contract requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government programs.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL databases.
  • Experience utilizing Azure DevOps, Git, Jira, or similar development and source control tools.
  • Experience developing REST APIs and integrating enterprise applications.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based environments and Microsoft Azure technologies.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity compliance, RMF, or secure software development initiatives.
