Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or related engineering or science degree or equivalent experience
• Willing to support extended and off shift work schedules and on-call requirements
• Willing and able to work in hazardous laboratory environments follow all Personal Protective Equipment and safety requirements
• One year of testing in a mechanical testing laboratory.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required. Interim DoD Clearance to start.
• Ability to lift 10 lbs.
Desired Skills:
Hands on experience working in a lab environment performing testing
• Familiar with reading and following MIL, ASTM, and proprietary specifications
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Tensile, Compression, and Fatigue Testing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical/Vibration Test Engineer you will be responsible for delivering hands-on testing expertise that drives our aircraft development and sustainment programs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform hands-on mechanical and vibration testing in a lab environment.
- Provide mechanical/vibration support to advanced development, sustainment, and engineering test efforts.
- Execute mechanical tests following ASTM, Lockheed, and customer standards.
- Configure test machine setups, program test profiles, and manage data acquisition systems.
- Program and operate MTS test control software while assisting the lead engineer in the vibration lab.
