Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Business Analysis, Analyst to support a Federal Government client in Charleston, SC.
The successful candidate will support payroll operations by serving as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role is responsible for analyzing business processes, defining requirements, supporting system enhancements, and leveraging data to improve operational efficiency and support mission objectives.
This position currently requires a full-time on-site schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company and contract requirements.

Responsibilities
- Serve as tiered support for payroll and system-related inquiries, including intake, triage, and initial issue resolution.
- Monitor, track, and manage incoming incidents and service requests to ensure timely response and escalation as needed.
- Analyze and troubleshoot production issues, coordinating with team members for resolution.
- Understand customer business processes and practices within assigned technical and functional areas.
- Conduct analysis to identify business needs, operational challenges, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define, document, and manage business and system requirements.
- Act as a liaison between software development teams and project stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and support solution design activities.
- Identify gaps in business processes or system functionality and recommend corrective actions.
- Extract, analyze, and present data using SQL, spreadsheets, and written reports.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality and business requirements.
- Support software implementation, deployment, and production support activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Maintain documentation of issues, resolutions, and knowledge base articles to support tiered support operations.

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of business analysis, systems analysis, production support, or related experience.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
- Experience supporting the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, testing, implementation, and production support.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with the initiative to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting Oracle PeopleSoft Payroll and/or HCM.
- Experience in tiered support environments, including incident intake and user support.
- Experience using SQL, SQL Developer, Jira, or similar relational database management and project tracking tools.
