- You will perform materials handling functions of receiving, issuing, storing and segregating ordnance materials including ammunition, explosives and chemical munitions, fuels and missiles.
- You will ensure cargo is secured per military standard loading drawings and procedures.
- You will cut wooden blocks, wedges, bracing structures, and bulkhead per military standards.
- You will use information systems and maintain an accurate inventory of assets.
- You will perform ordnance materials handling functions such as receiving, issuing, storing, segregating, selecting, handling, prepping, and processing and shipping inventory.
- You will perform receipt inspection per governing directives, providing assurance of quantity of item received and that material is correctly identified and further identifying visual damages, overages, shortages, or other discrepancies.
- You will receive/offload ordnance materials from trucks, rail cars, vessels, MILVAN's and other conveyances.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license AND Commercial driver's license (CDL) endorsement.
- Required to stand, bend, stoop, reach, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions for prolonged periods. Sometimes work in cramped or awkward positions and may have to climb upon or crawl under vehicles or structures.
- Required to climb into trucks, rail cars, ladders, and walk inclines.
- Must be able to meet and maintain all required explosives qualification, certification, and recertification safety requirements.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain Explosives Hazardous Materials driver's license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain materials handling equipment (MHE) operator's license.

- Experience conducting inventories per established schedules and regulatory guidance.

- Must obrtain and maintain materials handling equipment opeator's license.
- Must obtain and maintain an explosives hazardous materials driver's license to operate motor vehicles having a gross vechicle weight of more than 32,000 pounds.
- Requires successful completion of autmated information systems and inventory training.
- Must attend Electrical Explosive Safety for Naval Facilities course.
- Must successfully complete explosives safety course as required by NAVSEA.
