Test Engineer III
Position Overview
We are seeking a Test Engineer III to support the development, verification, certification, and improvement of advanced aerospace, defense, and mission-critical systems. This role involves working across a broad range of technologies, including mission payloads, electronic systems, integrated aircraft platforms, and space-related systems.
The ideal candidate will develop and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures to verify system performance and ensure compliance with product requirements. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed test plans, procedures, and reports to verify system requirements and performance.
Plan, conduct, and document Verification & Validation (V&V) activities.
Execute system-level and component-level testing using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
Support system integration efforts and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Analyze test results, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and improve testing processes throughout the product lifecycle.
Support certification testing efforts and compliance activities.
Required Qualifications
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Experience working within multidisciplinary design and development teams.
Understanding of requirements management, systems design, and systems integration.
Experience planning, conducting, and documenting Verification & Validation (V&V) activities.
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical systems and resolve issues methodically.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.
Familiarity with a variety of testing equipment, standards, and test environments.
Ability to create professional test plans, procedures, and compliance reports.
Knowledge of Product Assurance and Quality Assurance processes.
Experience documenting and resolving product non-conformances.
Experience supporting certification testing efforts for organizations such as FAA, NASA, or DoD.
Ability to read electrical schematics, technical drawings, and service manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
Background within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
Physical Requirements
Frequent walking, sitting, standing, and climbing stairs.
Frequent repetitive hand, arm, and finger movements requiring dexterity.
Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions
Limited exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Limited exposure to hazardous materials or chemicals.
