GS-07:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector operating radio and telephone equipment in conjunction with a computer aided dispatch system; handling emergency and administrative calls for service; disseminating information from callers to security, fire and medical personnel; vigilant monitoring of emergency personnel during response and after arrival.
GS-06:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector operating radio and telephone equipment; handling calls for service and relaying information via radio or telephone; tracking of personnel and apparatuses.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Conditions of Employment continued:
~ This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use
~ The incumbent may be required to perform moderate to arduous physical exertion and/or duties of a hazardous nature.
~ The incumbent will be required to take medical examinations to assess his/her/their medical qualifications for duty involving work with exposure to high levels of stress present, have color vision adequate to distinguish between green, red, and yellow lights on alarm and equipment controls panels and to read information from a multicolored computer screen and have adequate hearing for voice and tone.
~Incumbent is required to complete all training requirements listed in the United States Marine Corps Emergency Dispatch Services Training Strategy to maintain emergency services dispatcher qualifications and certifications to include but not limited to:
- FEMA NIMS/ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800.
- Telecommunicator I/II.- CPR/AED certification.
- Certification to operate required federal Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) such as NCIC.
- Hazardous Material Awareness.
- Foundations, Emergency Medical Dispatch, Fire Service Dispatch and Law Enforcement.

- You will receive emergency and non-emergency requests by telephone, mobile radio, mobile data computers, or automatic alarms.
- You will obtain essential information and independently determine the correct emergency response units to dispatch and services to be rendered in accordance with established guidelines.
- You will communicate via radio with responding personnel to pass pertinent information regarding hazards that may be present at the emergency scene and obtain additional assets if requested by the Incident Commander
- You will monitor surrounding area frequencies for requests for mutual aid in accordance with local agreements, DOD/Navy regulations, and Federal Law.
- You will perform personnel background inquiries and examinations, review/update internal policies, operating procedures, and systems manuals, and occasionally provide orientation and training to other dispatchers.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination and annual health assessment.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position requires rotating shift work.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a CONFIDENTIAL security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
