Facilities Project Manager
Cherokee Nation Strategic Programs (CNSP) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Facilities Project Manager with at least 5 years' experience as a project manager or facility manager of large commercial and/or government property. The ideal candidate will have e xperience managing multiple projects, monitoring the work of others, experience with MS Project, and experience writing requirements documents statements of work for service and construction contracts. This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Facilities Project Manager: $135,000-$145,000
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Facilities Project Manager Responsibilities Include:
- Provide technical and managerial leadership of facilities projects, physical security remediation assessments and plans, facility assessments, studies, requirements analysis, contract and resource management, and budget and financial activities and ensure compliance with relevant industry and government policies and standards and maintains all necessary documentation related to assigned projects.
- Manage all project phases of a project using the Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge and in compliance with the DOE Order 413. Develop and validate project requirements with internal and external customers to define project scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholders. Develop, review, and comment on facilities projects and physical security and remediation-related documents and specifications including prepare or revised capital investment plans and requests, business case(s), project charters, statements of work (SOW), PWS, Independent Government Cost Estimate (ICGE), requirements, Request for Information (RFI), contract modifications, submittals, deliverables, schedules, risk logs, business impact analysis, performance, change control, lessons learned reports to support a project to completion. Participates in the budget formulation process for current and future year projects. Plan, track, and facilitate lessons learned for each project and provide report to the Federal Sponsor.
- Manage the direction of work and associated resources to ensure quality deliverables. Conduct planning and provide recommendations on task workload. Attend and facilitate project-related meetings and may serve as primary liaison interacting with vendors, other agencies, and other staff on behalf of the government.
- Provide oversight and technical support on SNR Physical Security Remediation Assessments and Physical Security Remediation Plans for manned and unmanned building repairs. Communicate government specific requirements and collaboratively assist in the development of remediation/solutions for specific problems that arise during site visits through written reports and/or oral presentations. Manage the execution of field assessment and audit observations, data collection, analysis tasks, and reporting.
- Perform regular site visits to verify existing conditions, report on project progress and facilitate any required project coordination. During duty hours, be available by government provided cellular telephone and respond to calls within a reasonable time as there are areas within the region that don't receive cell signal. Provide weekly project status reports detailing accomplishments, next steps, risks, and action items.
- Track and report monthly progress of assigned projects, quality of work and materials, cost, and schedule for each project, and validate conformity with project requirements, specifications, and good practices. Provide project schedules and revisions in MS Project format. Provide monthly Project Management Plan updates including Cost Management, Resource Management, Schedule Management, Change Management, Risk Management, Requirements Management, Data Migration, Consolidated Testing Plans, and Communications Management Plans.
Facilities Project Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent.
- Project Management Professional; or Sustainability Facility Professional; or Real Property Administrator, Systems Maintenance Administrator, Facility Management Administrator from Building Owners Managers Institute (BOMI); or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a project manager or facility manager of large commercial and/or government property.
- Requires knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in project management and knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in area of technical expertise.
- Experience managing and monitoring the work of others. Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Professional suite of applications, including MS Project.
- Experience writing requirements documents statements of work for service and construction contracts.
- Experience developing cost estimates.
- This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
