Senior Power Platform Engineer (Enterprise Applications)
Location: Washington, DC (100% On-Site)
Clearance: Active Top Secret required (ability to support additional adjudications if needed)
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Power Platform Engineer to support enterprise application development within a highly secure federal environment. This role focuses on designing, building, and scaling low-code and custom solutions that support mission-critical workflows, data management, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience across the Power Platform ecosystem and can lead both hands-on development and platform architecture efforts within a structured, compliance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop enterprise-grade applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including low-code and custom development approaches
Lead solution design efforts, translating business requirements into scalable, structured application architectures
Build and maintain data models, relationships, and business logic within enterprise data platforms
Develop and integrate custom components and external system connections, including API-based integrations
Extend platform functionality using custom development frameworks and scripting languages
Establish and maintain platform governance, including environment strategy, lifecycle management, and security controls
Manage application lifecycle activities including version control, automated deployments, and DevOps integration
Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure quality and scalability
Lead technical discussions, workshops, and discovery sessions with cross-functional stakeholders
Mentor junior developers and guide teams on best practices and development standards
Create and maintain technical documentation, solution diagrams, and design artifacts
Required Qualifications
Active Top Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, OR equivalent experience
8+ years of total experience, including at least 5+ years working with enterprise application platforms
Strong hands-on experience with low-code application platforms and workflow automation tools
Experience designing and implementing data models and relational database structures
Experience building and integrating custom connectors and external system integrations
Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web development concepts
Experience working with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or similar) and backend services
Experience extending platform capabilities with custom code (e.g., plugins or service components)
Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, solution packaging, and deployment strategies
Experience implementing role-based access controls and enterprise security practices
Familiarity with cloud-based services and integrations within enterprise ecosystems
Experience working in Agile development environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant platform-specific certifications
Experience supporting secured or multi-environment enterprise systems
Familiarity with enterprise CRM or workflow platforms
Experience implementing automation, intelligent routing, or data-driven enhancements within applications
Knowledge of DevOps pipelines, Git-based workflows, and automated deployment practices
