Project Manager (Facilities & Construction)
We are seeking a Project Manager with experience overseeing facilities, construction, renovation, and lease-related projects in secure government environments. This role will support the full project lifecycle, including planning, design, procurement, construction, occupancy, and closeout activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage multiple facilities and construction projects from initiation through closeout.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders, contractors, architects, engineers, and other project participants.
• Track and report project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and overall performance.
• Maintain project documentation, records, and project management information systems (PMIS).
• Support acquisition and procurement activities, including RFP reviews, contractor questions, site visits, cost analysis, and proposal evaluations.
• Review designs for constructability, code compliance, value engineering, and scope changes.
• Monitor construction activities, schedules, submittals, budgets, change orders, and contractor performance.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify work quality and contract compliance.
• Lead project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Support project commissioning, occupancy planning, relocation activities, and project closeout documentation.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Facilities Management, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of project management experience supporting facilities, construction, renovation, or capital improvement projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction disciplines including civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure systems.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• PMP or CCM certification.
• Experience supporting federal government facilities projects.
• Knowledge of SCIF construction requirements and secure facility environments.
• Experience working with construction contractors, A/E firms, and government contracting organizations.
