Title: Deskside Support Technician
Location: Washington, DC (100% Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months Contract (Possible Extension/Conversion)
Clearance: Active Public Trust Required (Secret Clearance Preferred)
Client: Department of Justice (DOJ)

Position Overview

Seeking a Deskside Support Technician (Tier II) to provide onsite end-user support within a Department of Justice environment. This role focuses on desktop support, hardware/software troubleshooting, ticket management, and delivering high-quality customer service to DOJ personnel. The technician will work independently through an ITSM ticketing system to resolve incidents and service requests while maintaining SLA compliance.

Must-Have Requirements

Experience

• 5+ years of experience providing Tier II Desktop/Deskside Support in a Windows environment
• Experience supporting end users in an enterprise or government office environment
• Experience working with ITSM/ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred)

Technical Skills

• Windows 10/11 support and troubleshooting
• Client Office Suite, Outlook, and Exchange support
• Active Directory user account administration
• Hardware and software troubleshooting
• Desktop and laptop break/fix support
• Printer troubleshooting and support
• Ticket management and SLA adherence

Clearance

• Active Public Trust Clearance
• Ability to maintain Public Trust Clearance

Soft Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service and end-user support skills
• Ability to prioritize workload based on ticket and customer priority
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

Technical

• SCCM/MECM exposure
• Software installation and deployment experience
• Device imaging and workstation deployment experience

Federal Experience

• Previous Department of Justice (DOJ) support experience
• Experience supporting federal government environments

Clearance

• Active Secret Clearance (Highly Desired)
