Job Description
The applicant shall accomplish tasks through the use of software programs and databases to include, but not limited to, Contracting Writing System (ConWrite), FedBizOpps or equivalent, EDA, Federal Procurement Data System-Next Generation, and USAF Data Services.
Essential Job Functions:
The applicant shall be subject to compliance with the FAR, DFARS, Air Force Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (AFFARS), mandatory procedures, informational guidance, as well as other applicable documents and regulations, systems, and guides, as required.
The applicant shall provide administrative assistance to the Government CO with the following tasks:
Preparing contracts and modifications.
Distributing contract documentation.
Providing database support and computer applications.
Supporting contract closeout.
Collecting data for audit and/or report requests.
Coordinating with other Government agencies.
Coordinating with DFAS.
Creating, retrieving and requesting contracting reports.
Producing copies of acquisition documentation.
Preparing source selection material.
Tracking contract milestones.
The applicant shall perform self-inspections and present detailed and comprehensive reports with any corrective actions taken or required. The applicant shall ensure complete and quality resolution of discrepancies. The applicant shall assess and revise policies and procedures as needed to find ways to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency of work.
The applicant shall participate in discussions and meetings. The applicant shall present clear, concise and well-structured presentations, orally or in writing, that address the designated procurement issues. The applicant shall consider the composition of the audience, knowledge level, and desired outcome when composing the material. The applicant shall identify problems, both in broad and detailed terms, and attempt to resolve conflicts in a timely manner through discussions with responsible members in a meeting or working group.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
A High School Diploma plus 8 years of experience 8 of which must be in the DoD, an Associate's Degree plus 2 years or a Bachelor's Degree is required.
Active Secret clearance.
General understanding of current DoD and USAF-specific acquisition regulations, guidelines, and processes.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a procurement technician.
