Job Description

Duties

  • You will provide initial diagnosis of problems within their facilities.
  • You will identifies and prioritizes projects to be placed on the MAPs and MEPs.
  • You will visit sites to determine the actual nature of work request and entering data into Maximo and ensuring the iNFAD database is updated directly or through the Asset Management Business Line.

  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Working directly with customers to ensure work efforts meet facilities operation requirements; 2) Applying technical principles, directives, and methods of facilities management to maintain facilities and facility equipment in good working order; and 3) Consider service requirements and demands to determine funding for facilities and equipment. Physical Demands:

The majority of work will be performed under field conditions requiring field surveys ascending ladders to rooftops and other semi-precarious positions with exposure to moving equipment, electrical currents, or toxic fumes. The work is physical in nature requiring sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, carrying light to medium objects (under 50 pounds), going beneath building or on rooftops, climbing ladders, entering manholes, and anything else required to determine and/or evaluate site conditions and scopes of work. Must be capable of traversing hills, swales and rough terrain and be able to obtain a driver's license and operate sedans, pickup trucks and vans. Travel out of the area might be required.

Worn Environment:

Work is performed in various surrounding including offices, waterfront areas, airfields, industrial and residential facilities or construction and utility sites. Visits to certain locations may cause exposure to the normal hazards associated with construction work and industrial operations including confined spaces. The use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats, safety shoes, protective clothing, respirator, protective eyewear and earplugs is required in the performance of the work. Work involves the pressure of time and budget constraints.

Education

Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration.
