Business Process Improvement Consultant

Location: Washington, D.C. Metro Area (Local to DC)

Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking a Business Process Improvement Consultant to support a federal client in evaluating, optimizing, and transforming mission-critical business operations.

In this role, you will work directly with stakeholders to assess current-state business processes, identify operational improvement opportunities, and develop future-state strategies that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and mission outcomes. You will help align people, processes, and technology with organizational objectives while driving continuous improvement initiatives across federal programs.

What You'll Do

As a Business Process Improvement Consultant, you will:

  • Assess current-state business processes, workflows, and operational functions across the organization
  • Develop future-state process models and transformation strategies aligned with mission objectives
  • Analyze people, process, and technology environments to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Conduct business process analysis to streamline operations, eliminate non-value-added activities, and improve efficiency
  • Document current and future-state processes, workflows, procedures, and recommendations
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and interviews to gather requirements and validate findings
  • Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to program stakeholders
  • Develop implementation roadmaps, milestones, and change management recommendations to support process transformation efforts
  • Present findings, recommendations, and improvement strategies to leadership and program teams
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives and organizational modernization efforts
Schedule & Shift Details
  • Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Support provided during standard East Coast business hours
  • Local to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Secret Clearance required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business process analysis and process improvement initiatives
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in client relationship management and stakeholder engagement
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience creating business process documentation, workflows, and operational procedures
  • Experience evaluating organizational processes and identifying opportunities for operational improvement
  • Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and federal stakeholders
