Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The ClassifyIT team is seeking a system engineer to work with a team of developers to implement new capabilities in support of the current classification marking tool and the tool to be used to support M365 web-based applications. The position involves documenting the full life cycle design, development and testing of policy-driven software across multiple fabrics. Looking for a candidate with a technical background with experience in troubleshooting and requirements gathering. Must have the ability to document the tool and inner workings to include creating standard system engineering and test documentation. Attention to detail is needed to test new software releases and document results. The candidate should have the ability to work directly with customers to identify and resolve user reported issues either by establishing alternative solutions or generating bug reports.

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of System Engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree for a total of 8 years.
- Experience generating standard system engineering and test documents
- Excellent written skills and experience in generating program/process related documents
- Working experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with Wiki
- Experience in AWS (ability to navigate AWS dashboards & services)
- Experience working collaboratively with a team of developers, Contractors, and the Government
- Analyze user requirements, the concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
- Analyze system requirements and leads design and development activities. Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches and conducts feasibility studies.
- P rovide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
- Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. Develops technical documentation.
- Develop system Architecture and system design documentation. Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
- Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
- Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
- Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

- Track and respond to user issues/questions
- Establish internal schedules and milestones
- Report weekly/monthly/quarterly status in a timely manner
- Document processes and provide deliverable to the government
- Provide meeting minutes
- Ability to test new configurations/software releases
- Coordinate and identify test users for various scenarios
- Track and report testing results
- Coordinate software deliveries with external organizations
- Contribute content for the development of high level documentation and guides
