Position Overview
Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking a TEN Lab Manager to support a customer providing incident response services to civilian agencies and critical infrastructure organizations. This role supports the design, deployment, administration, and maintenance of advanced cybersecurity capabilities within the Technical Engagement Network (TEN) environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Linux administration, Splunk Enterprise, and Ansible automation, along with the ability to support lab operations, infrastructure modernization, and cybersecurity mission requirements.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments across development, lab, and production systems
• Manage large-scale configuration management and deployments across Linux, Windows, MacOS, and virtualized environments
• Develop and maintain Ansible automation workflows, playbooks, and provisioning processes
• Administer Splunk Enterprise for monitoring, security analytics, and operational intelligence
• Support implementation of new technologies, upgrades, patching, and system maintenance activities
• Implement security controls, STIG compliance, access management, and audit requirements
• Develop Splunk dashboards, alerts, and monitoring capabilities
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, storage, and system performance issues
• Support development of lab procedures, documentation, and operational best practices

Mandatory Skills
• U.S. Citizenship
• Active DoD Secret Clearance (TS/SCI Preferred)
• Ability to obtain DHS Suitability
• 5+ years of Linux Systems Administration experience
• 3+ years of Splunk Enterprise administration and log ingestion experience
• 3+ years of Ansible automation experience (Ansible Core, Tower, or AAP)
• Experience administering RHEL environments
• Knowledge of configuration management, security controls, and system hardening practices
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and locations

• Experience writing technical procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Experience with virtualization technologies and automation
• Experience supporting Linux/Unix, Windows, and MacOS environments

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, or related field
OR
• High School Diploma and 7+ years of lab management or systems administration experience
