Job Description

As a Security Officer in Ft Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:
Day Time Mon 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM Thur 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM Fri 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM Sun 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM
What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor flow, and report maintenance, security-related, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support opening, closing, and special event activities by following post orders, assisting with crowd guidance, and maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
