Blu Omega is seeking a Health Data Analytics Consultant to support a federal program focused on healthcare policy and payment models. This role operates remotely for the first six months and may transition to an onsite environment if within 30 miles of DC, NY, or MN offices. The position is responsible for Medicare claims analysis, SQL/Python coding, and policy/payment model support. The position requires experience supporting health analytics within a mission-driven environment.

Key Details
Location: Remote (initially), with potential onsite work if within 30 miles of DC, NY, or MN offices
Clearance: Public Trust (ability to obtain after start)
Work Authorization: US Citizen or Perm Resident

Responsibilities

• Analyze Medicare claims data using SQL and Python
• Support policy and payment model analysis in healthcare programs
• Develop and verify analysis parameters, document processes, and produce high-quality code
• Collaborate with team members and clients to interpret data insights

Required Qualifications

• Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in health analytics, research, consulting, or similar environment
• Proficiency with SQL and Python for data analysis
• Experience working with healthcare claims and enrollment data within large data warehouse environments
• Strong knowledge of healthcare data structures, patient attribution, and claims data
• Ability to develop analysis parameters, prepare documentation, and write efficient code
• Excellent communication skills and team collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic coursework in statistics or econometric modeling
• Experience conducting statistical analyses for health policy decisions
• Familiarity with healthcare databases such as the Integrated Data Repository or Chronic Conditions Warehouse
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid payment methodologies
• Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, VBA) or Tableau and other visualization tools
• Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks
• Experience with value-based healthcare and payment model implementation
• Proven ability to deliver actionable insights to influence health policy

Compensation
Salary Range: $92,000 - $114,000
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
