Description:Join the F-22 IMIS (Integrated Maintenance Information System) team supporting the operational readiness and sustainment of the F-22 Raptor. IMIS provides mission-critical hardware and software solutions that interface directly with aircraft maintenance systems, automating maintenance processes, improving diagnostic capabilities, reducing maintenance cycle times, and increasing aircraft availability.
As the Software Engineer Sr, you'll guide the technology development lifecycle - from system and software design through automation tooling and infrastructure enhancements.
Your core responsibilities include:
• Develop, integrate, and debug software
• Lead integration efforts involving software, hardware interfaces, databases, and external systems.
• Determine root-cause analysis and resolution of complex technical issues affecting system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Support software deployment, configuration management, and lifecycle sustainment activities.
• Adhere to engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes across the team
• Collaborate with both internal and external teams
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Engineering Degree or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficient knowledge of C++ software development. Able to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C++.
• Knowledge of hardware configurations
• Advanced problem-solving skills
• Understanding of cyber security and standard DOD security practices such as: STIG compliance
• Ability and willingness to obtain Secret Clearance
• US Citizenship
Desired Skills:
• Familiar with 1553 protocol
• Software development for defense systems or other distributed, real-time embedded systems
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Willingness to travel (if needed)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
