About the Team:

Lockheed Martin is looking for a dedicated Systems Engineer to join the System Integration Team in Sunnyvale, CA supporting Space System Programs.

As a System integrator, you will support end-to-end integration of space systems across hardware, software, and operations domain.

This role is ideal system engineers with electrical/electronic integration experience who will support the development, integration, verification, and validation of spacecraft and satellite electrical subsystems throughout the system lifecycle.

This role is responsible for translating mission needs into technical requirements, managing requirements traceability, supporting subsystem integration activities, and executing verification and validation plans to ensure compliance with mission and customer objectives.

The role will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including avionics, power systems, communications, flight software, guidance/navigation/control (GNC), thermal, mechanical, manufacturing, and test organizations.

Systems Integration & Engineering Support:

• Support system integration planning across spacecraft subsystems (avionics, propulsion, power, thermal, structures, software, communications) interfaces and mission-level architecture

• Maintain system level configuration management, requirements decomposition, interface definition, and traceability using DOORS and CAMEO

• Develop and maintain system documentation such as Interface Control Documents (ICDs), integration procedures, test plans, and verification matrices and help track verification closure and configuration status

Verification, Validation & Test:

• Support integration of spacecraft electrical subsystems

• Assist in planning and executing integration, test, and verification (IT&V) activities

• Help track verification closure and configuration status

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.

• Demonstrated systems engineering experience, specifically in the area of requirements and interface decomposition and verificaton & validation

• Professional experience aerospace, defense, satellite, or spacecraft systems engineering with systems integration, testing, or engineering design

• Experience working on multidisciplinary projects, owning thermal, dynamic, or electricalo, software, GNC, or flight disciplines and collaborating with program IPTs.

• 3+ years of work experience related with SmallSat, LEO, MEO, GEO, or deep-space missions.

• Professional working knowledge supporting spacecraft or satellite subsystems

• Secret Security Clearance with eligibility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

• Master's degree in Electrical engineering, computer engineering with experience supporting electrical subsystem integration and testing.

• 2 years of work experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS & Cameo

• Working knowledge of ADR and C&DH for LEO, MEO, or GEO missions

• Exposure to test environments, research lab, lab integration, or environmental testing.

• Knowledge of space program lifecycle phases and review gates.

• Active or Current TS/SCI Security Clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $102,800 - $178,135. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
