Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Technology Labs Senior Manager for the Grand Prairie location as part of the Engineering Operations Directorate. This E&T enterprise position requires a decisive leader capable of the functional management and executive leadership of a growing team of engineers, engineering aides and technicians who make up the core operations and technical services group supporting over 200 engineering labs. These labs provide diverse fabrication, test, and analysis capabilities to support MFC internal programs representing all the major disciplines within engineering. The staff/labs are split into multiple lab teams which are each headed by a manager (or associate manager). The newly formed organization seeks a transformative leader motivated by the opportunity to define and execute a development roadmap for their team and the labs. Responsibilities of the Senior Manager include:
-Providing direction, coaching and mentoring to the Lab staff, managers, establishing overall lab operations and technical services policies, and setting task priorities to be flowed to staff.
-Communicating directly with lab staff via variety of means including skip-level meetings, walk-around reviews, virtual tours, and regular all-hands meetings.
-Identify skill, role and other staffing gaps within the organization. Hire operations and technical staff with technically competent personnel as required, ensuring that support to program is effective and timely.
-Coordinating annual Capital Request justifications with Finance and Engineering, including setting priorities, to replace aging equipment or add new capabilities.
-Assisting in the development of department strategies and goals.
-Support the Engineering Operations Technology Labs Vision in harmonizing common operations, ensuring flexibility and data integrity where needed, while accelerating Digital Transformation for the organization
-Managing budgets and tracking spend plans with tactical precision and strategic planning. Includes Maintenance and Repair, Engineering Supplies, and Capital
-Collaborating and communicating with other internal functions such as Facilities, ESH, Quality, Finance, and Security on issues affecting Laboratory Operations, ultimately improving bottomline metrics
-Coordinating and de-conflicting competing task priorities within the lab operations team
-Determining and optimizing business rhythm and stakeholder meetings to ensure efficiency and high-quality execution of lab operations and technical services
-Working interactively with the Human Resources Business Partners to champion the team members for recognition, act on discipline issues, support initiatives and recruiting new hires.
-Assisting personnel in their usage and interpretation of corporate and MFC policy.
-Coordinating prioritization, execution, and improved material procurement processes for a wide variety of laboratory and site needs in accordance with policies
-Recommending merit increases and promotions in accordance with employee performance assessment and company guidelines.
-Maintaining relevant contacts within LM, industry, universities, and customer areas.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Bachelors degree or Master's degree in a relevant engineering or technology degree program
Possess strong oral and written communication skills and demonstrate superior interpersonal skills, with prior technical leadership experience.
Desired Skills:
Current or prior working experience in the E&T Labs organization

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
