Job Description

Duties

As a Data Management Analyst (ASVAB CEP) at the GS-0301-12/13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
  • Performing detailed analysis of operational data to identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
  • Managing small- to medium-sized projects by developing project plans, tracking progress, managing resources, and coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining data management systems, generating reports and dashboards, and ensuring the integrity and accessibility of program data to support decision-making.
  • Providing data-driven insights, management consulting, and advisory services to leadership on programmatic and operational issues.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Conducting program analysis and evaluation of operational data to identify trends and recommend improvements to program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Managing projects, including developing project plans, tracking progress, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining data management systems and generating reports or dashboards to track performance metrics and support leadership decision-making.
  • Providing data-driven recommendations and advisory services to DTAC leadership or ASVAB CEP manager on programmatic or operational issues.
  • Prior exposure to the ASVAB CEP or other career exploration programs.
You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

B. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Analyzing operational data and established metrics to evaluate the performance of specific program segments, identify procedural issues, and recommend modifications to improve the ASVAB CEP workflow efficiency.
  • Managing specific projects or project phases, coordinating task execution across stakeholders, and monitoring progress against established project plans.
  • Utilizing and modifying data management systems to develop recurring reports, dashboards, and visualizations that track key performance metrics.
  • Preparing analytical reports and providing data-driven recommendations to DTAC leadership or ASVAB CEP manager to resolve programmatic or operational issues.
  • Familiarity with or knowledge of the ASVAB CEP or similar career exploration programs.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
