We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Intern to support our Business Development and Growth teams in identifying, tracking, and pursuing new business opportunities within the federal government marketplace. This internship provides hands-on exposure to government contracting, capture management, proposal development, market research, and strategic growth initiatives.

Salary and Benefit Information:
The hourly salary for this role is $20.00. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Intern to support our Business Development and Growth teams in identifying, tracking, and pursuing new business opportunities within the federal government marketplace. This internship provides hands-on exposure to government contracting, capture management, proposal development, market research, and strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research on federal agencies, programs, contracts, and industry trends.
- Assist with identifying and tracking upcoming government contracting opportunities through various procurement platforms.
- Support pipeline management activities, including maintaining opportunity trackers and CRM systems.
- Research potential teaming partners, subcontractors, and strategic alliances.
- Assist in gathering competitive intelligence and analyzing incumbent contract information.
- Support proposal and capture teams with data collection, documentation, and administrative tasks.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and briefings related to business development activities.
- Attend internal strategy meetings and contribute ideas for growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with recruiting, operations, and program management teams to support business growth efforts.
Required Qualifications:
Required Experience/Skills:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field.
- Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in federal government contracting, business development, or professional services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with government contracting concepts or federal agencies.
- Experience using CRM systems, research tools, or data analytics platforms.
- Interest in pursuing a career in business development, capture management, proposals, or government consulting.
