Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic aerospace and defense location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials and badges, and support a professional, welcoming experience. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative culture.

Pay Rate: $23.27 / Hour

Day Time Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access procedures, verifying credentials, and supporting entry and exit control at designated locations.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized entry and report unusual or suspicious activity according to post instructions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting access control concerns, unsecured entry points, and/or other security-related conditions.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and visitor records, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or the client's designated contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
