Blu Omega is seeking a Senior AI and ML Solutions Architect to support a CBP program focused on enterprise cloud and integration services. This role operates within a hybrid cloud environment and is responsible for leading AI/ML solution architecture, design, and implementation across enterprise-scale platforms. The position requires experience supporting AI/ML and Generative AI solution delivery within regulated, mission-driven environments.
Program Overview

CBP's Enterprise Cloud & Integration Services (ECIS) program provides commercial cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) and integration across on-premise and hybrid environments, supporting cloud adoption and modernization of mission systems.

Location: Ashburn, VA (hybrid; local to Ashburn preferred)
Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination
Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI solution architecture and strategy to address client business needs while aligning to organizational strategies, business goals, and ethical considerations
• Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of complex AI programs
• Architect and implement AI/Generative AI solutions leveraging Google Gemini Enterprise or similar enterprise AI platforms
• Design and implement enterprise access management solutions, including authentication, authorization, RBAC, ABAC, and identity integration patterns
• Design, develop, and deploy AI agents and agent-based workflows for enterprise or government organizations
• Integrate enterprise data sources, APIs, and connectors into AI, analytics, search, or decision-support platforms
• Provide technical leadership on complex problems, contribute to new concepts, and mentor or supervise employees in company and technical competencies

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with data science, machine learning (ML), deep learning, or AI, including leading end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of complex AI programs
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale SaaS/PaaS solutions and/or Databricks-based data platforms
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including deployment and management of cloud-native applications and services
• Experience architecting and implementing AI/Generative AI solutions leveraging Google Gemini Enterprise or similar enterprise AI platforms
• Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise access management solutions, including authentication, authorization, RBAC, ABAC, and identity integration patterns
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying AI agents and agent-based workflows for enterprise or government organizations
• Experience integrating enterprise data sources, APIs, and connectors into AI, analytics, search, or decision-support platforms
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security, governance, and scalable system design within regulated enterprise environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including translating business requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a CS, Engineering, or Data Science field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with edge deployments and optimization strategies, including quantization, pruning, and knowledge distillation
• Experience with MLOps for production and ML workloads
• Experience working with cybersecurity teams to develop and review technical documentation and security control implementation required to achieve and maintain ATO

Compensation

Salary Range: $180,000.00 - $220,000.00
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
