Jefferson is seeking Command and Control Systems Integrator Instructor to support the USAF 505th Test and Training Group.

This role will be Onsite at Hurlburt Field, Florida.

This position supports the 505th Command and Control Wing at Hurlburt Field, FL, in executing its mission of providing operational-level Command and Control training and expertise. This position supports advanced academics and training for the Wing Operations Center Exercise (WOCX) in parallel to the Air Expeditionary Wing 2.0 Command and Control Course (AEW C2C). WOCX is an Air Combat Command-directed, Headquarters Air Force approved, formal course designed to prepare AEW command team force elements and leadership to "fight" the AEW under current employment schema as integrated to a warfighting Air Expeditionary Task Force. This instructor position additional designs and develops Standard Operating Procedures; Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP); and rapid reaction checklists for AEW command and control processes. In this role, typical duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:

• Primary Duty is to function as part of the WOCX instructor team providing hands-on guidance, technical support, and instruction for AEW C2C and WOCX training audiences in support of Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) rotation training cycles.

• Position requires performance of platform instructor duty, including lesson plan development, research, creation of instructional aides, and lesson delivery.

• Design and implement hands-on system training for battle management and tactical datalink systems associated with the Command and Control Force Element (C2FE) package as part of the AEW construct.

• Position requires travel and support to AEF 200-level training events as prioritized by HQ ACC, to include additional employment as qualified AEW C2C faculty.

• Provide tactical command and control experience and systems integration perspectives as a subject matter expert for the WOCX developmental team.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 24 months of experience within the past six (6) years in a Theater Air Control System organization or element employing tactical datalinks, airfield operations, Battle Management (terminal control or weapons director or Air Battle Manager), or Air Operations Center.

• Possess a minimum of 10 years of Department of Defense military experience as a commissioned or noncommissioned officer. Must have demonstrated the ability to instruct in a military environment; it is preferred to have at least 1 year of formal platform instruction.

• Completion of academic instructor course or basic instructor course desired (may be conducted prior to beginning duties if selected). Graduate of a Service Weapons and Tactics Instructor (eg, Weapons Instructor Course, TOP GUN, etc) or advanced planner course (C2 Warrior Advanced Course) highly desired.

• Demonstrated experience as an interface control technician or Joint Interface Control Officer (Link Manager) with tactical datalinks (Link 16) and message over IP-based networks required. Joint Range Extension Applications Protocol C (JREAP-C) and Air Defense System Integrator systems experience highly desired.

• Demonstrated experience with tactical communications systems operation, emphasizing expeditionary radio systems (including Single Channel Ground and Air Radio System - SINCGARS) for air/ground communications, over-the-horizon voice communications (satellite and High Frequency), Multiband Inter/Intra Team Radio, and Multiband tactical combat net radios (portable, software defined radio). Implicit in this background is experience in control, handling, distribution, and loading of cryptographic codes and key transfer devices (such as the KYK-13 or KIK-30). Highly desired experience includes the AN/PRC-117 family of software-defined radios, AN/ARC-148 MBITR family of radios, Mobile User Objective System radio (voice and data capable AN/PRC-155).

• Procedural experience with Defense Readiness Reporting System, Operational Report (OPREP) procedures and standards, and Airbase Air Defense integration desired. The candidate will be required to focus instructional material on these topics. Desired to have experience with Operational Plans (OPLANS) and Communications Appendices to understand and establish communications requirements and tasking.

• Ability to travel to various locations within and outside the continental United States (CONUS) in performance of the tasks. Travel associated with WOCX will involve 40% of duty. A current US Passport is required.
