Job Description
Role: Security & Compliance Analyst
Location: Pentagon Area (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
Overview
We are seeking a Security & Compliance Analyst to support cybersecurity initiatives within a highly regulated defense environment. This role focuses on ensuring systems and emerging technologies meet federal security, governance, and compliance requirements.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, risk management processes, and the ability to evaluate evolving technologies—including AI systems—against established security and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Support implementation and oversight of cybersecurity controls within DoD environments
Ensure systems adhere to data governance, access control, and audit requirements
Evaluate and monitor systems, including AI-based technologies, for compliance with security and ethical usage standards
Assist with RMF activities, including documentation, assessment, and compliance alignment
Conduct technical and functional analysis of system requirements to ensure security integration
Support development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and compliance processes
Monitor systems and processes to identify security gaps and compliance risks
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 10+ years of relevant experience
7+ years of experience supporting cybersecurity in DoD environments
1+ year of experience as an ISSO or ISSM
Experience supporting RMF (Rev 4) processes
Strong understanding of data governance, access controls, and audit tracking
Experience performing technical and functional system analysis
DoD 8570 IAM Level II certification required
Active Secret clearance

Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and security governance
Ability to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations
