Overview
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Technical Project Manager who can bridge the
gap between cutting-edge technical execution and complex public sector environments. As a
Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the complete project lifecycle
while navigating intricate government stakeholder ecosystems. You will work closely with
internal engineering teams and external agency stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered
on time, within scope, and in strict alignment with both contractual requirements and mission
goals.
This role requires a strong technical foundation, exceptional political savvy, diplomatic
communication skills, and the ability to drive momentum within structured, highly visible
government programs.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution
● End-to-end project delivery across multiple technology initiatives.
● Develop and maintain detailed project plans and execution roadmaps.
● Track project progress, identify risks, and proactively implement mitigation plans.
, ● Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and at expected quality
standards.
Team Leadership
● Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams.
● Support team members to ensure efficient execution and collaboration.
● Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews,
and retrospectives.
Technical Oversight
● Collaborate with engineering teams on solution design and architecture discussions.
● Ensure adherence to technical best practices, development standards, and delivery
processes.
● Monitor dependencies, integrations, and technical challenges throughout project
execution.
● Support release planning, deployment coordination, and production readiness
activities.
Stakeholder Management & Governance
● Act as the primary interface between CX engineering teams and government teams.
● Navigate and manage complex, multi-layered stakeholder relationships, ensuring
alignment, managing expectations, and maintaining high trust amidst shifting political
or bureaucratic priorities.
● Translate rigid public sector requirements into actionable technical user stories for
agile development teams, balancing agency compliance with velocity.
● Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and blockers unique to federal
environments.
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a
related field.
● 7+ years of experience managing software development and technology projects, with
at least 2 years specifically within the government sector.
● Active CBP (Customs and Border Protection) Security Clearance.
● Proven experience managing SaaS-based products and platforms.
● Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies as well as delivery tracking
milestone management.
● Hands-on experience with project management tools such as: Jira or similar.
, ● Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, and modern application
architectures.
● Experience managing distributed and cross-functional technical teams.
● Proven track record of managing high-stakes client relationships and navigating
bureaucratic or highly political stakeholder environments.
● Excellent communication and organization skills, with a demonstrated ability to
practice diplomacy under pressure.
Technical Skills
● Strong understanding of SaaS architectures and cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
● Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
● Knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
● Understanding of microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-native applications.
● Experience working with product, engineering, and infrastructure teams.
● Ability to interpret technical requirements and communicate effectively with both
technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience managing AI, Machine Learning, or Digital Transformation projects.
● Experience working in fast-growing technology or product companies.
