Position Overview
Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to provide technical analysis, operational support, and knowledge management services in support of cyber and virtual operations. This role combines cyber operations expertise with technical communications, reporting, project coordination, and knowledge management responsibilities to support mission-critical initiatives.
The selected candidate will analyze technical collection, evaluate cyber-related information, prepare reports and briefings, support operational workflows, and maintain awareness of emerging technologies and cyber trends. The position requires strong analytical capabilities, knowledge of cyber operations, internet technologies, virtual environments, and cybersecurity principles, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. The analyst will also support organizational initiatives through technical documentation, website content management, training development, stakeholder coordination, and project tracking activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical analysis support and assistance for cyber and virtual operations.
• Review technical collection, evaluate and extract relevant information, and prepare reports, briefings, and analytical products.
• Analyze cyber-related data to identify trends, risks, operational impacts, and opportunities for mission enhancement.
• Develop and maintain systems that support communications, data processing, and information sharing activities.
• Support the processing, organization, and management of incoming and outgoing operational data.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, cyber trends, and evolving operational tools to support mission requirements.
• Apply advanced knowledge of cyber operations, internet protocols, IP addressing methodologies, geolocation considerations, fraud detection techniques, and spoofing methodologies.
• Communicate complex technical concepts, risks, technologies, and mitigation strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support metadata vetting activities and prepare associated reporting in accordance with operational requirements.
• Collaborate with technical teams and organizational stakeholders to identify opportunities for enhanced technical capabilities and operational improvements.
• Monitor, review, and respond to operational communications and taskings.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, training materials, website content, reports, and feedback mechanisms.
• Support the maintenance and enhancement of internal websites, databases, knowledge repositories, and collaboration platforms.
• Facilitate meetings, information sessions, training events, workshops, and knowledgesharing activities.
• Track software and technology updates, evaluate operational impacts, and communicate relevant information to stakeholders.
• Support project management activities, schedule tracking, milestone reviews, and highpriority organizational initiatives.
• Prepare periodic reports, status updates, metrics, dashboards, visualizations, charts, and presentations for leadership.
• Coordinate with customers, team members, and service providers to resolve website, portal, and knowledge repository usability issues.
• Produce visually effective products that support leadership decision-making and organizational awareness.
Mandatory Skills
• Demonstrated experience providing technical analysis support for cyber operations, virtual operations, or related mission environments.
• Experience reviewing technical collection, extracting relevant information, and preparing reports, briefings, and analytical products.
• Experience supporting systems used for communications, collaboration, and data processing.
• Advanced understanding of cyber operations concepts, including: Internet Protocols (IP), IP Addressing Methodologies, Geolocation Technologies, Fraud Detection Techniques, Spoofing Methodologies, and Virtual Machines and Emulators.
• Experience using social media platforms and understanding platform operations, risks, and fraud detection mechanisms.
• Experience working to mitigate the operational impacts of geolocation and fraud detection technologies.
• Knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) related to cybersecurity, including ICD 503.
• Experience securely developing, supporting, or managing websites and web-based technologies.
• Understanding of encryption technologies, secure communications practices, and commercial messaging applications.
• Experience utilizing critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills to address technical challenges.
• Experience communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Experience developing technical documentation, user guides, training materials, website content, and reports.
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience supporting multiple projects and managing competing priorities.
Preferred Skills
• Experience developing methods to strengthen operational processes and procedures against cybersecurity threats.
• Experience supporting mission-focused organizations and collaborating across multiple organizational components.
• Experience working with sponsor documentation, policies, standards, and operational guidance.
