About the position

The Medical Materiel Supervisor leads daily warehouse operations in support of the Navy Medical Readiness Logistic Command's Expeditionary Medical System mission. This role supervises warehouse activities such as receiving, shipping, storage, picking, packing, disposal, and inventory control for medical supplies and equipment. The supervisor also uses DMLSS, HIMS, or other authorized DoD systems to track and manage Table of Allowances, AMALs, and ADALs accurately. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow local procedures, Navy guidance, and Department of Defense requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily warehouse operations and direct staff to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across warehouse operations.
  • Communicate with leadership and the client to resolve issues, share updates, and support mission success.


Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Use DMLSS, HIMS, or other authorized systems to complete routine warehouse and inventory transactions.
  • Oversee receiving, shipping, storage, picking, packing, disposal, and inventory activities for medical supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory records, document stock accurately, adjust levels as directed, and support disposal of excess or unserviceable items.
  • Review, stock, and replenish medical items, including removing expired or outdated supplies from shelves and EXMED kits.
  • Perform quality checks on records and ensure documents are filed correctly and on time.
  • Research quality assurance messages utilizing DMLSS, or other military database of record,
  • Review documents for accuracy, obtain missing information, and resolve discrepancies with staff, supervisors, or analysts.
  • Supervise receiving operations, including unloading shipments, verifying paperwork, reporting damaged or missing items, and routing materials to staging or storage areas.
  • Lead inventory control activities, including counts, location surveys, material handling, equipment use, and updates to command inventory records.
  • Ensure EXMED platform materials are stowed in assigned locations to support organized storage and rapid deployment.
  • Oversee packing, repacking, and crating of EXMED items using standard materials, methods, and shipping procedures.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as data entry, document control, email communication, and maintaining electronic files and spreadsheets.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and accountability for assigned areas.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience in supply operations, including ordering, receiving, customer support, inventory control, warehousing, assemblage management, and operation of material handling equipment.
  • Ability to maintain certification to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, side lifts, and cherry pickers.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe shoes, hard hats, and hearing protection.
  • Experience using DMLSS or other medical materiel information systems to complete transactions and manage records.
  • Ability to work in an austere environment.
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach, bend, and move materials throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and carry more than 40 pounds.


Physical and Special Requirements:
  • Ability to work at an accelerated pace under emergencies or operational demands.
  • Candidate must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hard hats.
  • Requirements include walking, standing, reaching, bending, and moving items.
  • Required to lift and carry weight over 45 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in an Austere environment.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics or medical warehouse operations.
  • Must possess and current valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to understand, read, and write in the English language
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.


Job Type: Full-time, Exempt

Travel: Minimal travel may be required
