Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Expert Knowledge of IT & COMSEC: Comprehensive knowledge of Information Technology (IT) security principles, specifically focusing on communications security (COMSEC) and the lifecycle management of sensitive cryptographic materials and systems. 2) Policy Development Experience: Experience developing, interpreting, and implementing strategic and operational IT security policies across a large, complex organization or Area of Responsibility (AOR). 3) Supervisory/Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to supervise, plan, and evaluate the work of a team of senior technical specialists (e.g., managing workloads, conducting appraisals, and enforcing EEO policies). 4) Executive Communication Skills: The ability to serve as a senior technical authority, providing authoritative advice to senior military/civilian leadership, and liaising with national-level agencies, foreign partners, and commercial vendors.

- You will supervise a team of senior technical specialists.
- You will plan, direct and evaluate the work of the branch, which provides IT security operational and policy support to the command, its subordinate units, and mission partners.
- You will manage the recruitment and selection process by interviewing and selecting candidates for positions, promotions and reassignments.
- You will identify and provide for the developmental and training needs of the branch to ensure the workforce is prepared to meet current and future mission requirements.
- You will direct the development, interpretation, and implementation of strategic and operational IT security policies for the command's area of responsibility.
- You will Ensure that all command-level IT security programs align with national-level policies from relevant national security agencies and governing bodies.
- You will direct the resolution of highly complex and unprecedented IT security issues that have a direct impact on mission capabilities and interoperability.
- You will represent the command at high-level meetings, conference, and working groups, presenting the organization's position on significant IT security-related matters.

- The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
