Role: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Doral, FL (On-Site)
Clearance: Active TS/SCI required
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support a high-visibility DoD environment in Doral, FL. This role is responsible for designing, securing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure across classified environments, ensuring reliability, compliance, and operational readiness.
You will work closely with cybersecurity, engineering, and operations teams to support mission-critical network systems and drive continuous improvements across the environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across classified environments (SIPR, NIPR, JWICS)
Configure and support routers, switches, and network devices to ensure secure and reliable connectivity
Perform network troubleshooting, maintenance, and system updates to maintain operational readiness
Ensure compliance with DISA STIG requirements and security policies
Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network access control systems (Cisco ISE)
Support implementation of cross-domain solutions and secure system interconnections
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement secure network configurations and connectivity solutions
Provide input to RMF processes, including documentation and compliance support
Monitor network performance and identify opportunities for optimization and security improvements
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and NOC staff
Basic Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)
9+ years of overall IT experience
5+ years of network engineering experience
Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols)
Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies (IOS, NX-OS) and security appliances (ASA, ISE)
Experience supporting classified networks (SIPR/NIPR/JWICS)
Familiarity with network monitoring tools and cloud/virtualized environments
Experience working with DISA STIGs and DoD security requirements
Knowledge of RMF, NIST frameworks, and network security principles
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cross-domain solutions and SCCA environments
Background in cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or similar)
Experience with automation or scripting for network management
Familiarity with ITIL processes and service delivery frameworks
Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or Security+
Experience supporting Combatant Command environments
