Job Description
Role: Voice and Video Engineer
Location: Doral, FL (On-Site)
Clearance: Active TS/SCI required
Overview
We are seeking a Voice and Video Engineer to support a high-visibility DoD program. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise voice and video communication systems to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable operations.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support unified communications solutions and drive continuous improvement across the environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain voice and video communication systems across enterprise environments
Engineer and deploy secure, scalable VoIP and video conferencing solutions
Configure and troubleshoot IP phones, video endpoints, gateways, and call control systems
Integrate voice and video systems within existing network infrastructure (LAN/WAN)
Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues and outages
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Develop technical documentation, diagrams, and knowledge base articles
Collaborate with engineering teams and leadership to support system enhancements and new deployments
Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members
Basic Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of overall IT experience
5+ years of experience supporting voice/video systems
Strong experience with VoIP, unified communications, and video conferencing platforms
Experience configuring and troubleshooting voice/video hardware and infrastructure
Solid understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, QoS, security)
Knowledge of voice/video protocols such as SIP, H.323, WebRTC
DoD 8570 IASAE certification required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Cisco UC, Teams, Avaya, or similar platforms
Exposure to cloud-based voice/video solutions
Background in DoD or Combatant Command environments
Experience with network automation or orchestration tools
Familiarity with SATCOM, LMR, or cabling/site survey work
Certifications such as CCNP, Teams Admin, or Collaboration certs
