The Work

The Network Engineer II will serve as the primary Network Development Engineer for the C2BMC program, supporting the design, build-out, deployment, integration, and testing of network upgrades to operational sites. Working within an Agile Scrum team, you will translate customer requirements and contract obligations into actionable plans, travel to remote locations for installations and troubleshooting, and provide status updates to program personnel. Flexibility to respond to real-world events, including nights and weekends, is essential.

- This position is based at a Lockheed Martin facility in Colorado Springs, CO. The role requires flexibility to travel to alternate work locations as needed (valid passport required)

Basic Qualifications:

• Qualified candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position. This requires US Citizenship and the candidate must have a valid US passport.

• An 8140 compliant certification (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CISSP, CISA).

• Foundational knowledge of network design, OSI model, TCP/IP, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).

• Ability to travel to alternate work locations for deployments and field projects.

• Strong written and oral communication skills; proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with multi vendor switching/routing (Juniper, Cisco) and WAN optimizers.

• Proficiency in firewall technologies (Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto).

• Knowledge of UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE tunnels, and advanced TCP/IP designs.

• Hands on expertise with network traffic analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with TACLANE devices and optical transport equipment.

• Ability to work within Agile/Scrum frameworks and manage contract driven deliverables.

• Preferred: Active Top Secret clearance.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
