As a OPERATIONS SUPPORT SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-12 some of your typical work assignments may include:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). As a OPERATIONS SUPPORT SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-12 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Performs 24/7 watch duties supporting Chief, Deployment and Distribution Operations Center (DDOC), Global Operations Center (GOC), United States Transportation Command.
- Monitors and reports status of USTRANSCOM Global Operations, planning, execution, logistics, and operational activities of the command and it's Transportation Component Commands (TCC).
- Monitors and reports all modes of transport through USTRANSCOM, Military Sealift Command (MSC), Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS), Air Mobility Command (AMC), and supporting activities of the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC).
- Produces daily current operations reports for the Joint Staff and Command's Senior Leaders. Identifies transportation issues and develops solutions with the staff and joint operations leadership.

- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use
- This position is designated as a key position. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations. Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status
- This position may be designated mission essential based on local conditions. Mission essential personnel report for duty at normal times when the base is closed or delayed reporting, and remain on duty during phasedor early release.

- Knowledge of transportation and logistics missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, relationships, systems, and operational planning objectives to review and provide global command and control.
- Analyzing and interpreting information/data to monitor and report on operations using systems such as Joint Operations Planning and Execution System, Single Mobility System, Automated Message Handling System, Logbook, Task Management Tool.
- Coordinating command operational transportation planning requirements by ensuring a seamless integrated execution process.
