Job Description

Duties

  • You will be responsible for developing policies and procedures to ensure Information systems reliability, development and management of Information system contingency plan and disaster recovery procedures.
  • You will maintain a thorough knowledge of the principles and methods for the integration of information system components.
  • You will oversee for Information systems monitoring, coordination, and contingency planning.
  • You will ensure the preparation and submission to appropriate authority of all required life cycle management documentation associated with the information systems architecture.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 722 level intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience demonstrating project management expertise in the area of information systems security, information systems management, and/or systems administration.
  • Experience utilizing meteorological and/ or oceanographic scientific applications as they relate to Information systems security.
  • Experience coordinating the execution of information systems architecture design, development, testing, installation, operating, management, and maintenance concepts and methods to provide information systems services.
  • Experience interpreting and developing Information systems and information assurance policies and procedures.
