Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the oversight of enterprise travel and financial operations, coordinating resource management activities, providing work plans to civilian staff and coordinating performance and operational workflows. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Additional information
- Serve as Section Chief for Defense Travel System Operations within the Accounting Operations Branch.
- Ensure compliance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR), and DHA travel policy while supporting operational requirements such as medical staffing, contingency travel, and workforce mobility.
- Provide authoritative guidance and oversight of enterprise travel and financial operations.
- Develop and implement DHA procedures to analyze, monitor, and mitigate critical transactions, validate restricted-role authorizations, and ensure sound business and resource management practices.
- Present recommendations, operational analyses, and policy proposals to senior leadership
- Coordinate enterprise travel operations, system integration, and modernization efforts.
- Provide direct supervision to civilian personnel.
