Business Systems Specialist I – Secret
Xcelerate Solutions is currently seeking a Business Systems Specialist I. In this role you will be supporting the Joint Contingency & Expeditionary Services (JCXS) program, situated within the Defense Logistics Agency's (DLA) Information Operations (J6), is the Department of Defense's agile and global provider of expeditionary acquisition business systems "JCXS is the DoD’s agile, responsive, and global provider of joint expeditionary acquisition business systems that fulfills mission-critical requirements while supporting interagency collaboration."
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Business Systems Specialist I to join our Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) support team. In this role, you will provide a wide range of analytical support, including statistical analysis and comprehensive Program Support Services. You will play a critical role in supporting the Joint Contingency & Expeditionary Services (JCXS) program, ensuring our operational and reporting capabilities meet rigorous Department of Defense standards. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical program deliverables.
- Requirements Elicitation & Translation: Act as a critical liaison between system end-users and the technical development team by gathering field feedback and translating complex operational requirements into clear, actionable Agile user stories and Change Control Board (CCB) requests.
- User Advocacy & Application Support: Serve as a subject matter expert and advocate for 3in1 system users in contingency environments. Assist users in understanding new application functionalities, troubleshoot workflow pain points, and provide functional guidance to ensure the system is maximized for efficient over-the-counter field purchases.
- Feature Validation & Acceptance Testing: Partner with the development team during the software development lifecycle to validate that new features, offline synchronization capabilities, and system patches align with the original user stories and mission requirements prior to final deployment.
- Training & Documentation Mapping: Support the continuous improvement of system adoption by analyzing new software releases and mapping updated capabilities directly into user manuals, quick reference guides, and training materials, ensuring field users are fully equipped to leverage the system.
- Workflow & Process Optimization: Conduct regular programmatic and statistical analysis on system usage and user feedback to identify trends, proposing strategic system enhancements that improve battlefield cash management and purchase visibility.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience.
- Must possess an active DOD Secret Clearance.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic analytical software, specifically Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
- High level of proficiency with the broader Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Project Management tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Agile Proficiency: Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and common tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps).
- DoD Procurement Knowledge: Prior experience supporting DoD or federal acquisition, financial, or logistics business systems (familiarity with SF44 micro-purchases or contingency contracting is a major plus).
- Lifecycle Support: Experience participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and helping map system updates to end-user training documentation or quick reference guides.
- Certifications: Foundational certifications in Agile or Business Analysis (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA), or similar).
