Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

For current permanent DCMA employees eligible as a Promotion, this position will be filled as a Temporary Promotion NTE 3 Years and may be extended up to a total of five (5) years or converted to a permanent promotion without further competition. For current permanent DCMA employees eligible as a Reassignment, this position will be filled as a Reassignment or Detail and you may be granted Administrative Return Rights to your previous position. For all others, if selected, this would be a Time- Limited Appointment NTE (3 years), and extended in increments of up to one year, NTE a total of six years. The selected applicant will be required to sign a written agreement acknowledging the conditions of this temporary assignment and that they may be released from this position upon management discretion
- Develops advice and guidance to budget and senior personnel on the preparation of budget estimates, and prepares detailed analyses and critiques of estimates provided.
- Monitors the execution of field office and/or Agency operating budgets to assure that funds are properly allocated and are being obligated and spent in a timely and effective manner.
- Exercises budget controls through review and approval of the obligation and expenditure of funds for management and administrative purposes.
- Develops, or assists in the development of, presentations outlining findings, conclusions and recommendations.
- Recommends adjustments, such as redistribution of funds within budget accounts, in response to changes in programs, staffing levels, and/or funds available.

- Assuring that obligations and expenditures of funds are in accordance with existing laws and regulations.

- Evaluating changes in program funding and developing recommendations for financial and/or budgetary actions.

- Obligated Position: This is an obligated position and occupancy is subject to the return of former incumbent. If former incumbent fails to return to the position, occupancy may become permanent.

- Financial Management Certification: This position requires DoD Financial Management Level 2 certification within 2 years in accordance with DoD Instruction 1300.26,DoD Directive 5118.03 and section 1599d of Title 10, U.S.C. Once obtained, you must maintain and improve proficiency.
