Program Overview
The Army National Guard (ARNG) Enterprise Network Operations and Cybersecurity Support (ENOCS) program delivers comprehensive enterprise IT infrastructure, WAN, cybersecurity, and associated services to the ARNG and its mission partners. The program supports more than 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints across approximately 2,800 sites spanning 54 states and territories, enabling Title 10 and Title 32 missions, domestic emergency response operations, mobilization readiness, and classified SIPRNet operations.
Task 2 - Enterprise Applications Support - delivers engineering, operations, and sustainment of enterprise software applications and IT capabilities supporting more than 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints across approximately 2,800 ARNG sites nationwide. This task area ensures mission-critical applications remain current, secure, and aligned with evolving ARNG requirements by integrating innovation, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement practices into application lifecycle management.
Position Summary
ECS is seeking a Software Test Engineer - Junior to support the Army National Guard (ARNG) ENOCS program in Fairfax, VA. In this role, the selected candidate will contribute to the mission by designing and executing comprehensive testing activities to ensure the reliability and security of enterprise software systems. The candidate will play a critical role in validating system performance and compliance, working closely with developers and quality assurance teams to deliver mission-ready software solutions.

Responsibilities
- Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and security testing activities.
- Document and track software defects, and validate remediation actions.
- Support quality assurance objectives aligned with performance and compliance requirements.
- Maintain detailed test documentation and ensure adherence to established test procedures.
- Collaborate with developers, QA personnel, and system administrators to enhance software reliability.
- Validate corrective fixes to ensure system functionality and stability.
- Assist in the verification of system performance against technical and compliance standards.
- Contribute to the delivery of secure and reliable software solutions for the ARNG ENOCS program.
Required Qualifications
- Clearance: Secret Eligible required
- S. Citizenship required
- DoD 8140.03 Compliance: DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 632-Systems Developer at the Basic proficiency level
- Certifications (one or more required): CND
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Up to 3 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or application validation within DoD or Federal IT environments.
- Experience in executing functional, regression, integration, and security testing activities.
- Proven ability to document defects and validate corrective actions.
- Experience coordinating with developers and QA personnel to support software delivery.
Desired Qualifications
- Clearance: Active Secret preferred
- Experience in supporting enterprise software systems within a DoD environment.
- Familiarity with DoD 8140 alignment and CND certification requirements.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with technical teams.
- Understanding of compliance requirements in a Federal IT setting.
