Program Overview
The Army National Guard (ARNG) Enterprise Network Operations and Cybersecurity Support (ENOCS) program delivers comprehensive enterprise IT infrastructure, WAN, cybersecurity, and associated services to the ARNG and its mission partners. The program supports more than 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints across approximately 2,800 sites spanning 54 states and territories, enabling Title 10 and Title 32 missions, domestic emergency response operations, mobilization readiness, and classified SIPRNet operations.
Task 2 - Enterprise Applications Support - delivers engineering, operations, and sustainment of enterprise software applications and IT capabilities supporting more than 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints across approximately 2,800 ARNG sites nationwide. This task area ensures mission-critical applications remain current, secure, and aligned with evolving ARNG requirements by integrating innovation, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement practices into application lifecycle management.
Position Summary
ECS is seeking a Software Engineer - Junior to support the Army National Guard's ENOCS program by developing, integrating, and maintaining enterprise application components in Fairfax, VA. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in achieving modernization and sustainment objectives, ensuring secure and stable operations across both development and production environments. This role is integral to the broader enterprise program, contributing to the operational readiness and efficiency of the Army National Guard's IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate application components to support enterprise systems.
- Implement secure coding practices to enhance system security and integrity.
- Assist in the resolution of software defects to maintain operational stability.
- Support system integration efforts to ensure seamless functionality across platforms.
- Maintain application components in alignment with modernization goals.
- Follow approved architecture standards and configuration management procedures.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements in all development activities.
- Collaborate with team members to support reliable application solutions.
- Work under supervision to contribute to both development and production environments.
Required Qualifications
- Clearance: Secret Eligible required
- S. Citizenship required
- DoD 8140.03 Compliance: DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 632-Systems Developer at the Basic proficiency level
- Certifications (one or more required): CND
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Up to 3 years of experience in software development or systems engineering within DoD or Federal IT environments.
- Demonstrated experience in applying software engineering concepts to enterprise systems.
- Experience in system integration and defect resolution within development environments.
- Ability to adhere to architecture standards and cybersecurity requirements.
Desired Qualifications
- Clearance: Active Secret preferred
- Experience with Army National Guard or similar DoD environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise application modernization efforts.
- Understanding of configuration management in secure environments.
- Experience in supporting sustainment objectives for large-scale IT systems.
