Job Description
TEKsystems has an immediate need for a Senior Network Engineers with one of our largest customers. We are looking for Network Engineers that can join a very talented group of Network Architects to play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale enterprise network management and monoring environments. Must have strong Cisco design experience.
Responsibilities:
Job Description
- Support Government Leads with day-to-day engineering efforts across enterprise systems.
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot LAN, BAN, and WAN network environments.
- Provide technical leadership for integration and testing of large-scale, complex networks.
- Support network conversions, upgrades, and cutover activities.
- Deliver near real-time situational awareness across IT systems, events, incidents, and infrastructure.
- Enable NetOps visibility and control through network management systems and C2 capabilities.
- Support network operational control for mission-critical infrastructure and services.
- Perform system integration, server installation, and hardware/software configuration.
- Develop and maintain Active Directory (AD) and LDAP integrations.
- Support PKI integration and two-factor authentication solutions.
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery, and security patching per government standards.
- Troubleshoot networks using packet inspection and monitoring tools.
- Design and maintain system dashboards and monitoring platforms.
- Support application networking protocols, routing, and information assurance initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field
- 10+ years of general IT experience
- Strong background in enterprise network design and engineering
- Experience with network performance monitoring and configuration
- Strong understanding of routing, LAN/WAN, and network protocols
- Experience integrating and managing Active Directory (AD) environments
- Experience with PKI and secure authentication frameworks
- Familiarity with disaster recovery and backup processes
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Sniffer, etc.)
- ITIL v3 Foundation Certification
- DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification
Nice to Have:
- Experience with NetScout platforms (nGenius, Infinistream, etc.)
- Experience with multi-vendor tools (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Brocade)
- RedHat Enterprise Linux administration
- HP Operations Manager (OMi), NNMi, and related automation tools
- Experience with Network Access Control / Comply-to-Connect
- Familiarity with DoD environments and infrastructure
