Position Overview
Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking a Cloud Operations Manager to support a customer responsible for the rapid deployment and management of secure cloud-based engagement kits used in cyber incident response and threat hunting operations.
This role serves as the operational lead for cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical cyber operations. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with deep cloud expertise to oversee deployment, maintenance, and retirement of cloud environments while coordinating technical teams and government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead provisioning and deployment of cloud engagement kits in support of operational missions
• Oversee decommissioning, data archival, and secure termination of cloud environments
• Coordinate with engagement leads, analysts, case managers, and government stakeholders to ensure mission success
• Manage cloud infrastructure operations, resource allocation, and system performance
• Lead troubleshooting and incident response efforts for cloud infrastructure issues
• Ensure compliance with security requirements, encryption standards, and hardened configurations
• Develop and deliver operational status reports, metrics, and briefings to leadership
• Manage software licensing, hardware coordination, and operational support activities
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives

Mandatory Skills
• U.S. Citizenship
• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Ability to obtain DHS Suitability
• 8+ years of experience in cloud operations, infrastructure management, or related roles
• 3+ years of leadership or management experience
• Expert knowledge of AWS cloud services and architecture
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and incident response operations
• Experience managing mission-critical or 24/7 operational environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to operate effectively under pressure and meet critical deadlines

• Experience supporting federal government programs
• Background in cybersecurity operations, threat hunting, or incident response
• Experience with DevOps methodologies, automation, and cloud operations tools

Education
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
OR
• High School Diploma and 10+ years of directly relevant experience

Desired Certifications
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
