In this role, you will:
- Lead the analysis and delivery of innovative acquisition management solutions.
- Lead strategic planning and facilitate acquisition management needs.
- Support the planning and execution of acquisition management projects including proposing solutions for acquisition projects.
- Support the analysis of resource requirements to include recommendations of final acquisition strategy.
- Work independently and energetically in researching various Acquisition Topics and Documentation, DOD 5000, Other Transaction Authority acquisitions, and Milestone Requirements for various ACAT I, ACAT II, and ACAT III programs.
- Work across PEO Staff and Program Office Branches; evaluate procurement profiles, summarize relevant information, and brief government client. Apply understanding of agencies' mission, organizational interrelationships and priorities and consider the resource implications of decisions.
- Provide direct support to the government Acquisitions Manager and to help ensure tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Responsible for tracking and communicating status of actions and measuring metrics as it relates to execution.
- Provide support to Industry Day/Responders Day events. This would include managing the registration process and working with the security team at each site to make sure the registrants are cleared to attend events.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to acquisitions.
- Respond to Ad hoc data calls with a quick turnaround.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with limited supervision.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Active or Current DOD Secret clearance.
- US Citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or other technical discipline (or commensurate experience).
- A High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional experience, or an Associate's degree and 2 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Senior level expertise in acquisition principals and processes.
- 15 years of experience supporting a program or project team responsible for projects in various stages of Acquisition.
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and the Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Have a basic understanding of Statutory and Regulatory requirements to support milestones requirements as they are reached.
- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
Additional Desired Education and Experience:
- Master's degree preferred.
- PMP certification.
- Experience with the ASN RD&A Information System (RDAIS) and the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) system.
- 10 years of professional U.S. federal acquisition-related experience.
